This is sold 19th century old forest growth oak, and weighs about 8 lbs. Mid to late 1800s hand crafted shelf in beautiful display condition. The old original hanging hardware still in place, and not a bit of damage to detract from its value or beauty other than one small rough tip on a corner (see images). That acorn drop bottom and the "fringe" of lathe-turned ornament that lines the lower part of the shelf are each just gorgeous, as is the wood. Meant as a clock shelf, or "bracket" shelf, it can do any duty now. I love these old shelves in our bathrooms to stack guest and full towels upon, or to hold any collection in another room. Big, bold, beautiful!
Very good to excellent condition, one lightly dinged corner up top (visible in our photos). The measurements are noted on the photos. The top rectangular shelf is 12.5" x 8" and overall, shelf is 10" in height.
