Wonderful & rare antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era P. Gautie marked cornet, trumpet or horn with the original ebonized wood case or box, the horn marked "P. Gautie, Fournisseur de L'Armee, Toulouse - Paris, 1887 Exposition de Toulouse 1st Prix" etc. and all in fabulous condition! So, I'm not a musician and so have no way to test this piece as to whether it's still in working condition but I can't see anything obvious, it appears fine and we're more interested in the decorative nature of these old musical instruments. As visually impressive as can be, original box with working lock & key and sure to impress! Don't miss it.
Very good to excellent condition. I see no obvious damage or flaws, some light surface marks on the brass but no dents, etc. that I can see. The case does show some signs of its age but is fully intact and, as mentioned, has a working lock with key. See pictures for all measurements.
