Fabulous antique French hallmarked sterling silver 5 3/8" hors d'oeuvre or condiment serving spoon with ornate pierced or reticulated handle and foliate machined or engraved vermeil bowl. A single yes but arenât we always missing that one little piece to make the table complete? It bears the tiny French boarâs head hallmark, meaning itâs in at least .800 silver (805% pure so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark most likely for Leopold Pequignot, Paris circa 1880s. We've had this pattern in the past but I simply canât remember the name at the moment, I'll go back through our reference to see if I can find it. A lovely little serving piece for sure.
Very good condition. No bends, breaks, damage or repairs to note. There is a bit of wear/fading to the vermeil. See pictures for weight and measurements.
