Opulently created c.1810-30, this French Empire tiara is beautifully made, retains the crown comb, and has French silver marks for .800/1000 pure silver with 18k gold layer (vermeil), so you know it was a top quality piece in its own time. Not all of the pearls remain but enough to remain so elegant for either display or to wear. What a bride's veil headpiece it would make - something old. Full measurements noted on the photos. The final photo shows you how these were worn by the women in their era, 200 years ago, Napoleon era to as late as Charles X.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, still bright gold finish (18k on fine French silver) and most of the pearls remain, though as you can tell, there would have been thousands strung and wrapped across that top round of the tiara. The impact is there, if not every single original pearl. These are likely seed pearls, though some of these in that era were made with French 'created' pearls. Such a rare fine piece!
