C. 1700s tidbit, a fabulous handcrafted silver and mother of pearl etui, small box, which is in the navette form, just 3" long. Tiny impossible French silver punch is there. The mother of pearl is engraved and all spectacular and intact but for a small shatter on the bottom. Really quite usual for something so old and tiny. The box is most likely one that held an 18k gold toothpick. I've tried to show it well. Look at the engraved mother of pearl - a little work of art!
Very good to excellent for age and type, and the only flaw to point out is the hairlines on the bottom plaque or panel of mother of pearl. Sturdy and held fast in place, there is no movement or impending loss there, but it has sustained that little knock at some point in its nearly 300 years. Rare little treasure! All measurements noted on the photos.
