A date on back suggests c.1850, and her gown and hair and jewelry would affirm that. The artist's signature on this gorgeous painting is shown in images, the last name "BEAUDIN" or "BEAUVIN", and first name perhaps Eric? I've had her for a long time, still have not found a restoration artist since our one we used to use passed away, so she's been in storage a while, waiting. Perhaps you can do the restoration work, or have someone to help you. She's fabulous - a sweet serene young beauty, seated sidelong for her 3/4 pose, hand crossed gracefully in her lap and in the fashion of her day. She wears Napoleon III (Victorian Era) jewelry. She is a young French woman, and I found the French painting in France. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Good to very good condition for age and type, as you can see, there are areas on this painting that do need oil painting restoration. I can point out there are 4 small canvas patches showing on backside, which would indicate weak spot on canvas, or a very small hole perhaps, again - she awaits restoration. Once done, she's one you're going to treasure forever - that gentile smile and pose. Restorations are quite simple, but I do not have access at this time. My loss and your gain. Time to get aggressive on downsizing.
