Sold only as a group, these are c.1750-1820s French patch or toothpick boxes, 1 with memento of braided hair which is preserved also in the outer leather presentation case. Three are trimmed in gold, one has a small working compass. The remaining 2 are navette form, one in engraved mother of pearl, the other in tortoise shell with pique work.
Hinges and clasps all working we, 1 has the original interior mirror but the others either never had them or are missing that feature. Very good to excellent condition for age and type.
