I've always loved these miniature furniture pieces we find in France, and from France. Many are the student or apprentice works of would-be ebanistes (ebenistes or cabinetry makers). As an apprentice's skills grew, the ways they were tested were in the completion of their own scale versions of furniture, down to the details of knobs and hardware. This has the feel of one of those, though there was a period of aesthetic which featured bamboo furniture and accessories and this might well be one of those. It is entirely hand-crafted in either case. These make fabulous furniture for Bru and antique doll collectors, but they are also fabulous as tabletop or dresser-top collections on their own. Very good to excellent condition throughout, there are no chips nor cracks and the patina of the old bamboo is fabulous and without flaw. Lathe-turned knobs and raised on cut bamboo legs, it is 16.5" tall. Drawers are not dove-tailed. I would think it could be the work of some young apprentice early in his education and skill development. There are penciled initials on back, also an indication it may be an apprentice miniature. I would date this one c.1900-1920s.
