Elegant antique French Napoleon III or Victorian era 9 1/4" tall cigar presenter, not a humidor, with unique carousel style consisting of ebonized top & base, rosewood or mahogany veneered doors and ornate brass fittings inside & accents outside!  Smaller than the others we're listing this week, this one has accommodations for only one cigar for each of the eight rotating doors.  Turn the reticulated bronze knob up top and the wooden cogs on bottom underside engage and automatically open all eight doors on this wonderful old Napoleon III era cigar service carousel, ready to please and to serve your after dinner guests.  C. 1840-80s, the style and veneers are VERY Napoleon III or Victorian era.  Doors open relatively smoothly on this one though, as with most, the doors do sometimes need a bit of help :). Some of these are made with music boxes built into the base, so music begins when the doors are opened, but this one was never a musical carousel.  Still, a beauty as you see it. GREAT piece, and a great price, too.  Don't miss it, they're getting harder to find, and with the dollar trading poorly, VERY expensive.

Very good condition, age considered.  There is a bit of chipping to one side of the ebonized wood top, the bronze finial is just a bit bent.  There would originally have been a thin wooden panel on the bottom, missing now, and there are a few missing cog teeth (hence the need to help the doors every now and then when opening and closing).  There are missing upper brass ring cigar holders from two doors.  See images for all measurements.
