So often over the decades, we have found lovely 19th century French scent caddy or boxes, fitted for scent bottles like these but which have lost their perfume bottles. It's a holdover from those "project" days which accounts for my inability to pass by this wonderful little pair of perfume bottles in such nice condition. Some say this small size might have been inkwells, so keep that in mind as well, though I'll stick with scent caddy bottles.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. Even the original stoppers are in place. And original kiln-fired enamel caps are wonderful, with their gold stars. Hinged caps are smooth and close tightly, and the necks are undamaged. Photos from all sides, you can see they're just superb - date Napoleon III era, c.1850-70s. Measurements noted on the photos - see if they match your scent caddy, or if you just love them as they are.
