Still working through a huge stack of fabulous antique needlework and loomed tapestry fragments found throughout the past 4 decades while buying in France - all with the idea of making them up as lushly fringed and down-filled opulent throw or decorator pillows. They're clean, odorless, archival stored and in excellent condition for use as intended.  THIS one is a magnificent late 1700s to perhaps c.1800 tight fine petitpoint with castle, fox and crane surrounded by needlepoint or gros point in French style and fabulous neutral coloring. Upholstery for a chair or stool, or a huge fabulous down-filled decorator throw pillow - you'll know the perfect way to put it to use. Some even frame these. This panel is supple and undamaged (one considers the cutaways from chair installation) but no holes, no real wear.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I only bought the very best panels! While this one is a salvage from the back of a quite large chair, it survives as if it was never really used. No holes, no odors, no bug loss and no tears or even restoration evidence. You can see that even cutting away the outer portions, a huge pillow top remains. In photos, I've shown various possible cuts to make a 24" pillow. Huge!  The petitpoint figural center is exquisite work, and I've placed a measuring tape across so you can see the very tiny gauge of needlework done there. From backside, you can see the original yarn colors which have faded slightly in time to a magnificent neutral palette.
