Charming scene, surely a painting of a special home and barnyard which meant something to the artist and to his or her friend to whom it is dedicated and appears to have been a gift. Restful palette encourages the viewer to move right into the inviting scene, and wish for such simplicity of life. I love this painting. Just in from France, ready to hang, or to frame to your wishes. Full measurements on photos: 21 5/8" long, 15" tall and the wood stretcher is about 3/4" in depth with the well-mounted canvas.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, there are no holes or losses to the actual painting on canvas, apart from where you can see a tiny disruption at perimeters where a previous frame has left its presence known. I love this one without frame, but can also see it in frame - will leave it to its next owner to decide on style. This is an Impressionist manner painting, and the brush strokes and palette enliven the surface, please the eye.
