I bought these ages ago at auction in Paris, the unmounted Victorian carved cameos from an old family jewelry store, jeweler or goldsmith's working stock. I've displayed them for decades at home, but someone else should enjoy them now or have them to work into jewelry. I always see the piece made by Elizabeth Locke, incorporating antique micro mosaics or cameos or gems, and I think of my stashes like this one. Beautifully hand crafted, all, carved in natural shell and red coral, figural images to thrill for another 150+ years. The group will not be broken up. It's an "all remain together" offering. Just as they came to me.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, none of these have ever been mounted into jewelry. The carvings on most are just exquisite. Diana, the Huntress, The Three Graces, Psyce and Cupid, Socrates (or is it Plato), a charming cherub or two. Several profiles, etc., etc.. Quite simple to have some made into jewelry. Photos show the condition of each one. There are 21 in all, sizes vary. Fabulous value!
