Such a pretty watch stand, this one is just in from Paris and is truly flawless. So pretty, the smokey topaz colored thick glass tray, or 'vide poche' (empty pocket) is to hold your jewelry and coins and pocket things, your watch chain, and the pocket watch mounted for the night on its special hook so that it becomes a nighttime or bedside table clock and caddy. Raised applied and kiln-fired enamel work on the interior of the glass hasn't a bit of loss nor scrape. This one has been someone's treasured souvenir of their Grand Tour, c.1860-80. Measurements are noted on photos. It is 6" tall.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. No flaws at all to note. Lots of photos show it off from all angles. Pretty little thing, isn't it.
