Someone's darling baby, a most charming painting on porcelain plaque. That outer frame is 11.5" x 10" and 1 5/8" in depth, heavy old forest growth wood with pristine gesso/plaster appliqué, not a bit of it missing. The plaque is also perfectly preserved, though having taken it out hoping to find an impressed mark to confirm origin (such as KPM), I find no marks nor signature on it. Charming as can be, someone's pride and joy. The entire piece has has perfect preservation, and if pressed, I'd date it by frame and type of portrait to c. 1850-1900. Possibly Prussian origin, but I found it in France.

Very good to excellent throughout. I've shown the perfect convex porcelain plaque. A stunning painting with no damage at all. A superb c.1850-80s oval frame in perfect condition still presents it beautifully. None finer! All measurements are noted on photos.
