I cannot find a single flaw on this elegant and huge vase, which is rare with these. The decorative manner is referred to as "Coraline", and is an applied pebble-like texturing which gives the feeling of tiny colored glass sand. Raised enamel vines accent the fabulous branch of flower blossoms and leaves, and a colorful bird flies above it. Not one place is missing any of the decoration. The wide open slightly fluted lip hasn't a single tiny nip, and likewise, no other damage. Such a large vase is sometimes referred to as an alter vase, and usually they were made in pairs. We have just the one. And yes, various art glass atelier employed to various quality the Coraline decorative enameling, but my associates who are more experts in art glass affirm to me that this is of Harrach quality and coloration, dating c. 1880s, give or take a few years. I wish I could do a better job photographing glass. The smokey topaz coloration of this one is quite unusual and so beautiful. Where it thickens into some intended waves at rim and at the narrowing between vase and base, the glass darkens and adds even more interest. All measurements noted on the photos.

Very good to excellent condition throughout, as noted in the paragraph above. No chips, no hairlines, no nips or roughness, and not a bit of that Coraline lifted or lost. So fine!  Harrach, Bohemian art glass.
