An unsigned but beautifully accomplished portrait miniature, oil painting on French porcelain plaque, with the likely ID of Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein. She was the last German empress and queen of Prussia by marriage to Wilhelm II, German Emperor. She lived from 22 October 1858 – 11 April 1921. In this portrait, she is quite young, and it's possible it was done at or near her marriage to Wilhelm II, in 1881. That would be consistent with the age of the paired painting and frame. The painting is not signed. I anticipated it might arrive as a KPM plaque, but the plaque is definitely cold-paste porcelain out of France.  Of interest to collectors of jewelry, too, as well as costume and history.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type, there isn't a flaw on the old porcelain. Age to the silk velvet which covers the wood outer frame, and the portrait is mounted in a dore bronze mount. Measurements are noted on the photos.
