Griffon, gryphon, griffen, or phoenix, which? This is a fabulous little hand-crafted sterling silver lighter for a gentleman's after-hours cigar. Can't you just see it at table or den a constant flame at the tip (new cotton wicks are supplied in 2 sizes), the long slender figural neck being the handle. I've shown it from all angles. It really is a little work of art. The small round cap fits snug and perfect into its place on the back of the swan-like mythical bird form, and all you'll need is to add some lamp oil or perhaps lighter fluid will work best. Charming as can be. The accessory impossible to find.

Very good to excellent, no bends, no breaks to the body of the lighter/lamp. There are 3 'feet', tri-pod if you will, and at first I thought 2 were bent, but I believe it is the original angle. Each has repoussé work to look like feet of the mythical bird or griffen.  The thing I have not yet found is the tiny silversmith's mark and guarantee marks. I bought it in France, and expected to find them, but perhaps it is my old eyes, or it's not French-made. I am certain it is at least .800/1000 silver. Measurements are complete on the photos for your review.
