Gorgeous pair of antique French hallmarked sterling silver aperitif or liqueur cups, shot glasses, highly ornate guilloche style decoration! Yes, these are the tiny shot glass sized pieces, roughly an ounce capacity each though I haven't measured them (I will and will add that info). Stunning though, both with the same engraved or machined decoration, large oval medallions with "his & her" style monograms and both in superb condition! Each bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Francois Nicoud, Paris circa 1875-1880. Wonderful, spoil yourself!
Very good to excellent condition. Overly heavy for their size and the condition shows that, each is right around 32 grams so 65gm total. Likely 18k gold 'vermeil' interior and neither had any dents, damage or repairs to note other than tiny nicks or slight surface scuffs. See pictures for all measurements.
