Just in from France, and truly the finest of these we've ever found. Even enameled on the backside so it can be displayed on your desktop, admired from all views. Larger than most, too, (measurements on our photos), it has 4 large panels (largest front and back) of fine Napoleon III (mid-Victorian) era enamels, worked in the champleve manner. So often some enamel is missing, or a drop/dent occurs, but not on this one. With a heavy thick cast that has a Louis XVI aesthetic to it, splendid. Not the small ones - this is large and really makes a statement.
Very good to excellent condition throughout for age and type. I can see only one spot to point out and that is the verdigris on one bun foot to the back left of the stand as it faces you. I've shown it well for your review. I did not try to clean it or polish it, just lightly cleaned up a few decades of dust when it arrived from France.
