Early 1800s French Palais Royal sewing necessaire, 18k gold and mother of pearl, pristine scent or perfume bottle, flacon, flask with 18k gold cap, 18k gold needle case, trim on scissors. Mother of pearl carved scissor handles and spools, silk winders - the set is complete with most of the implements, though the bodkin is clipped at its end, and the thimble original to the case is missing, would have been 18k and a little substitute rests there until you can locate a period 18k gold one to finish your set. Measurements noted on the photos.

Very good condition for age and type. It's unusual to find these in perfect condition, and this one is a little bit of a project set, but its interior is nicely preserved, original mirror, but no silk pad. Exterior is good on the lid, and not bad on the bottom, but the perimeter has had loss apart from not side top and the back panel. It looks as if the split leather has been removed and someone has in-painted the surface so it's acceptable for display. One might have that exterior restored. A little loving care - a 200 year old 18k gold and mother of pearl set - worth it.
