Wonderful antique to vintage French figural plaque on 10" wood frame, gold & silver accents to the intricate rendition of DaVinci's "La Cene" or The Last Supper!  The Last Supper or L'Ultima Cena is a mural painting by the Italian High Renaissance Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1495–1498. The painting represents the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Twelve Apostles, as it is told in the Gospel of John – specifically the moment after Jesus announces that one of his apostles will betray him.  Its handling of space, mastery of perspective, treatment of motion and complex display of human emotion has made it one of the Western world's most recognizable paintings and among Leonardo's most celebrated works.  Some commentators consider it pivotal in inaugurating the transition into what is now termed the High Renaissance.  This piece in cast metal with exquisite detail and appears to be silver plated with gold plate accents (we haven't tested the gold or silver but it has all the looks of them).  A paper label on the back reads "Souvenir...6 Avril 1944...." though I would imagine that the work predates that, likely purchased as a souvenir but made earlier.  Peruse the images, I've included several enlarged photos and you'll see the remarkable detail.  A wonderful decorative and devotional accent!

Very good to excellent condition.  No damage to note, some slight wear to the gilding on the rectangular bronze framing.  See pictures for all measurements.
