Wonderful antique Victorian era Japanese signed netsuke figure, a hand carved genuine ivory piece with remarkable detail depicting a robed fisherman with incised accenting and holding a fishing pole with attached catch! Susan knows more about these netsuke pieces that she purchased years and years ago but I'll just let the pictures do most of the talking. Amazing detail and, of course, I have no way to decipher the signature or artist so if any of you experts out there recognize it, please let us know.
Very good to excellent condition. Perfect really other than the broken off portion of the fishing pole. Not sure if the fishing line is original, likely not, but there is line there as you can see extending from the pole to the fish. See images for all measurements.
