Fabulous glass beads and faux pearls - perfect for decor or use! This is an embroidered and beadwork wool padded English Victorian to Edwardian hand made tea cozy, the exterior in such great condition without lost stitches, lost beadwork, no missing pearls (these are faux) and no loss or wear really to the wine colored velvet fabric. Thick padding will keep your morning or afternoon tea nice and hot in pot. It's one I've had for years and used in Christmas decorations a time or two. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, the outer cozy is superb! Slight loss on the tassels, a little of the yarn which would cover the wood core has moveI do not see any pearls missing and glass beads, the same unless a little missing on the small handle. The age shows to the interior as you can see, which has warmed many a pot of tea in its time, but will continue to do so. If its appearance is bothersome, an easy solution would be to add an additional liner in new fabric over the existing one just for aesthetic. No odors.
