Elegant antique French hallmarked sterling silver 7.5" hors d'oeuvre, condiment, sugar sifter or muffineer, a serving utensil with ornately shaped & pierced or reticulated bowl, acanthus accented pattern and wonderful condition! A fine old piece, this one bears the post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within the mark means it's in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is for Baptiste Lasserre, 42 rue Aumaire in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris near Le Marais, circa 1839-1886.. A single yes but as elegant as can be and this one will be an easy fit into an existing fine sterling silver table setting. Don't miss it!
