Beautiful antique French fan with 20 blond horn sticks tipped with bone ribs, and
and fluffy curly white ostrich feathers. Dates to late 19th century, c. 1880-1900. The horn guards are 16 cm, overall height 27cm and an opened up width of 40cm.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, this fan has not been housed in its box, and I'm uncertain how, but the one guard stick, all of which are slender and delicate to begin with, has warped over time as you can see in our photos. When open, not so much noticeable, but closed you will notice it. Price adjusted for this reason. A pretty old fan you might wish to actually use.
