Long time since I've found such a nice one of these antique French Art Nouveau or Belle Epoch lady's flasks, or such a fine one. I admit, I now wish I'd given it a light go-over with our gold polish, as in enlargement, I can see a little bit of tarnish which will brighten to a fine high gold. You see it there on the cup, don't you. But also, you see the French Minerve, control marks for .950/1000 pure silver, highest sterling standard in the world, and also that it has the rather dense layer of 18k gold to which the word, 'vermeil' is added. French vermeil - a glorious jewel of a purse flask, and note that it hot only has all of its gold, but also it has its stopper within. You could actually use this one. Such elegance!  The little jigger cup which pulls off the bottom is your shot glass. Party? Opera? A night out with friends? You know you want to use it. Full measurements noted on the photos, 6" in length - an easy tuck-away into any evening purse or pocket.

Very good to excellent condition for age and type. These were popular at turn of 20th century to as late as 1920s, and rarely do we find them with the original tight-fitting stopper inside, the cap on and free of dents and dings, and also the cup so beautifully preserved and in place. The glass has no flaws, not even in that slender neck. A very tiny rough spot on stopper, more to be felt than seen (might see it on our greatly enlarged photos). This one has everything but the light cleaning I'll be giving it right after I'm finished listing. It will gleam gold, as vermeil ought to. What a fine way to greet a re-entry to your old life, as we exit this side of pandemic (hopefully). Celebrate!
