Fine antique to vintage French hallmarked .800 (nearly sterling) silver napkin ring with raised or bas relief style flower accented decoration! This one bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the curved outer shape and tiny number "2" within that mark means it's in .800 silver (80% pure so just under the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is only partially legible so I've not found reference to it.
YES, a single here but one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). We’ve amassed over 100 great old mostly French sterling napkin rings over the years and I’m working on them now. They're great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own! We have rococo style napkin rings, guilloche style machined or engraved napkin rings, French Empire style napkin rings, personalized napkin rings with the original owners’ names on them… Just a massive array of styles and aesthetically unbeatable! Browse and enjoy, they’re all so lovely and sure to add to your fine dining experience (and that of your guests, too)!
Good to very good condition. This one weighs 39 grams and is in fine condition as you can see from the images. Some slight surface scuffing and, you can see that there was originally an inscription in the banner style medallion that has been 'erased'. See pictures for measurements.
