Spectacular c.1880-1910 French decanter, large scent bottle by Baccarat. Brilliantly faceted diamond-cut and broad shoulder facets cut from heavy lead crystal, and the fitting of collar, stopper and rare base caddy are each of dore bronze. Highest quality, superb condition. This is large enough to use as a carafe for liqueur, as well.
Very good to excellent condition throughout. No nips nor chips to stopper or neck. No tiny nips to any of those points you see - hundreds of them. The refracting light is marvelous, though our photography dual lighting is not the best way to see it. You want this lighted and on a mirror so the light bounces back up through the facets. Gorgeous old thing, best condition I've ever found in one of these. And rare to have the addition of the caddy base. Look at all those tiny dore bronze flowers. The detail is all you'd expect from 19th century France and Baccarat. Full measurements noted on photos. Heavy!
