Fine antique French J.M. Paillard watercolor artist's box, paints set with many original contents including paint bricks & charcoal, mixing pots and crayons, "Couleurs Sans Danger"!  One of two artist's paint sets or boxes that we're adding this week.  While somewhat used, this one does have all thirty of the watercolor paint cakes or bricks, all three tole enamel on metal mixing dishes, the original J.M. Paillard box of "fusains" or charcoal pieces and four crayons. A lovely little decorative piece or, a source of more antique paints and supplies if that's what you're looking for.

Very good condition. Both clasps intact and the exterior of the box is in great shape. The contents are as pictured, some watercolor bricks more used than others and some appear not to have been used at all with the printed color names and Paillard marks legible (though they are stuck to the bottom of the box at the moment). See images for measurements.
