Lovely antique French Napoleon II to Belle Epoque era gilt bronze & beveled glass jewelry casket, a jewel box with colorful hand painted enamel decoration including flowers & exotic bird and a retailer label on the base marked "Maquis, Rue des Panoramas", Paris. Possibly a LeGras work though I'm not certain. All sides, lid included, in relatively thick beveled glass and all with thick hand painted enamel with palpable depth. The interior of the box with a aged and tattered tufted base, cabriole style legs with figural gryphon or griffin style busts. A lovely larger decorative piece and just in from France.
Good to very good condition. As noted, the interior base lining shows its age and the most notable flaw is a small break to the right side glass panel (lower rear corner but the broken glass segment is still there). See pictures for measurements.
