Absolutely gorgeous antique French Napoleon III to Belle Epoque era sterling silver oil & vinegar cruet stand with stunning and always popular Empire styling, two original shaped & cut glass or crystal decanters and in wonderful condition! I just love these old French silver pieces and this one leaves very, very little to be desired. Post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks on all separate pieces, the tiny number "1" within those marks designating .950 silver content (95% pure silver and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Alphonse Boulanger, Paris circa 1876-1899. One of two that we're listing today, we have a few others available along with a host of the finest antique French & European sterling silver online so, be sure to browse some while you're with us. Thanks! An exceptional piece, don't miss it!
Very good condition. A small nip or two is possible to the decanters and/or stoppers but no chips, no cracks or repairs there. A minor dimple or two possible but no large dents, damage or repairs to note to the sterling base/stand. The silver alone weighs 12.6 troy ounces or 391 grams. See pictures for individual measurements.
