If you've longed to own one of these amazing c.1800-1820 French Palais Royal sewing sets, but always find them just out of your reach, this might be the one to choose. It displays beautifully, and the casket is large and just stunning, complete with its original working lock and key. Many things to recommend the set, but also some imperfections to consider. Full measurements noted on the photos, the beautiful old casket is nearly 9" long.
Condition: Casket is gorgeous with tons of cut steel pique on the camel-back top, missing the metal handle and has a small veneer loss on a corner - no warp, has lock and key.
Every item is with the set, but of the 13 separate items in their fittings within, just 5 are in excellent condition and each of the remaining 8 have a flaw to note. Allow me to list them here:

set of 4 star silk winders, each has a lobe or more than one lobe missing
Stiletto is excellent but missing the 18k gold medallion
Steel scissor needs repair at handle
