Lovely antique French sterling silver 8 5/8" tall 30oz tea or coffee pot with acanthus morphing into the spout, beautiful carved solid rosewood handle, pomegranate finial, interlaced "LH" monogram and in wonderful condition! I am certain that we had already listed this but just happened to check it when looking for an item that sold and lo & behold, it wasn't so here we are. Thick, heavy old French sterling silver, it bears the post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks on body and lid, the tiny number "1" within those marks means it's in .950 silver (95% pure so above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks are for Lagriffoul & Laval, Paris circa 1899-1900s. A beautifull piece, don't miss it.
Very good condition. There are a few age darkened spots, visible in the images, and possibly a tiny dimple or two but no larger dents, damage or repairs. See pictures for weight and all measurements.
