Elegant antique French PUIFORCAT hallmarked sterling silver 3pc flatware setting for one, lauren garland & acanthus accented ribbon pattern with interlaced "LA" or "AL" monograms and mother of pearl & silver handled Cardeilhac knife! The knife is not original to the set but both Puiforcat and Cardeilhac are the cream of the cream when it comes to French silversmiths. The fork & spoon with the post-1838 French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right corner of the marks means they're in solid .950 silver (95% pure so above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). A gorgeous setting for one, spoil yourself!
Very good condition. Some faint surface scuffing, indicative of age & light use. No chips or cracks to the mother of pearl handle, no dents or damage to note. There are a few darkened age/tarnish or corrosion marks on the pre-stainless steel knife blade, visible in the images. See pictures for all weights and measurements.
