Gorgeous antique French hallmarked sterling silver & genuine carved ivory 6pc salad & hors d'oeuvre serving utensil or implement set with ornate acanthus accenting, engraved monograms and what appears to be the original storage and/or presentation box! A beautiful and truly elegant set, the handles all in solid ivory with incised & lac (or enamel) filled monograms. The silver all bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right corner means they're in .950 silver (95% pure and above the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). Silversmith marks are for Jules Granvigne, Paris circa 1890-1910. From my own collections of decades.
Very good condition. Some fading to the monograms on the salad fork & spoon, a bit of discoloration to their bowl & tines on them also. No notable flaws or damage to the sterling or other pieces. Slight age cracking in a few handles. The box does show its age, a slight bend to the lid leaving a small space in the front when closed and the right side clasp is a bit tight but works.
