Rare to find, both the set of 12 individual place setting chop gigot (handle to hold the bone of lamb or pork chop) AND still in their original box. Over the 3 decades we've been dealing antiques, we've only had about 5 or 6 full sets of these fabulous table flatware specialty items. This set, unfortunately, with two pieces missing the little silver wing nuts to tighten them down so we basically have a usable service for ten at the moment.  All with ornate sinuous vines & foliage patterned handles and in the finest .950/1000 pure silver, highest sterling silver grade in the world, and you simply can't miss those lovely little figural busts nestled at the tops. The gigot or crimper portion of each is not sterling, but is metal which is silver plated (typical). The original fitted presentation box remains with the set and is in fine shape. Still, a fitted storage box which has kept the set in excellent form.  Full measurements noted on the photos.

The 12 specialty flatware implements/utensils are each very good to excellent, beautifully preserved for about 120-110 years (with a nod to the two missing wing nuts as mentioned above).  The hallmarks are tiny, crunched into the upper edges of the handles and the silversmith marks appear to be for Henri Gabert, Paris circa 1882-1901.  Some slight separation visible between a few handles and ends, some age darkening or tarnish in the deep recessed areas but no notable damage or flaws.  The box also in great shape given its age, some edge and surface wear but both clasps are intact and working.  Fabulous rare set!
