Fabulous & heavy antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ring with ornate guilloche style machined decoration and floral & foliate accented medallion with "HR" monogram! It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in the upper right corner stands for French 1st quality (.950 or 95% pure silver content). The silversmith mark is for Paillard Freres, Paris circa 1868-1888.
Yes, a single here and one of several superb antique and vintage sterling silver napkin rings that we're adding today (and in the weeks ahead) so be sure to browse our current offerings to build a collection fit for royalty :). These are great mixed & matched around your table, wonderful to find a set of twelve or more matching pieces but who could be so lucky. And, isn't it much neater if all are unique, each with a history...a story of its own!
Very good condition. Weighs a relatively heavy 36 grams and it's beautiful given its 100 plus years. Great condition as you can see from the images. Some faint surface scuffing possible and a bit of visible tarnish on the inside. See pictures for measurements.
