Odiot - silversmith to Napoleon & Jefferson (US President), and here we have an elegant antique faux alligator or crocodile box nestling a French ODIOT sterling silver 8pc baptism or christening set including tumbler, egg cup and flatware setting! Yes, the inside of the fitted presentation box AND some of the silver bears the Odiot silversmith marks, some pieces with Queille marks (a renowned French silversmith and maker for Odiot). Often given as baptism or christening gifts, this one with full sized flatware and all pieces beautifully engraved "Juliette". An exquisite breakfast setting for one. A rare, complete ODIOT set in the original Odiot marked box, a treasure here!
Very good condition. The box, as you can see, is in great shape with just a few surface marks. The interior fittings and linings also very well preserved and there is no damage to the silver other than some surface scuffing (the handle of one knife bearing extensive marks but all could be buffed out. See pictures for measurements.
