Fabulous & rare antique Napoleon III or Victorian to early Edwardian era 29" wall cabinet, a pipe or tobacco smoker's chest in walnut with unique burled or birdseye maple center door panel with marquetry style inlay winged angel or putti figure smoking pipe and blowing smoke rings!  Isn't this simply marvelous!  These old wall cabinets are always popular and can be used for a variety of places and purposes.  The figure on this one giving away its original use, the little Cupid or putti figure holding a pipe with smoke rings coming off of it, all in marquetry style veneer inlays of varying colors and set into the burled panel.  SO, we know it was meant to house pipes, tobacco and smoking pariphernalia surely but the way you choose to use it is really only limited by your imagination (and wall space I'm guessing).  We have a lovely old one mounted on out bathroom wall in both our main and mountain homes.  Great as medicine chests, to hold spare hand towels or whatever you wish.  Working lock & key on the main door, two inner wood shelves and a lower drawer with dovetail joint construction.  Heavy solid wood and immense visual & decorative appeal, don't miss it!  We also have another, slightly larger, wall cabinet to be listed in the coming week.  That one also Victorian, in heavy dark oak and with figural carvings and magnificent.   Be sure to check back.  Thanks!

Very good to excellent condition.  There are some darkened lines around the top of the cabinet, perhaps from something sitting on it or maybe it had some sort of crown molding type fixture that was removed at some point.  Possibly a small nip or two here and there but, as you can see, no real notable damage or flaws.  Working lock with old skeleton key.  See pictures for all measurements.
