The kind you'd see ladies wear on an extra long chain, tucked into the waist band and easy at hand, this 19th century 18k French gold cased watch is in need of someone to get into it and release the main spring, which is apparently overwound. Time to sell a lot of our 'this and that' spare items - I'll be listing loads of them in weeks ahead. The things we set aside in deference to more fabulous or valuable antiques just owing to time constraints. Amazing how that relegated 'this and that' has multiplied over time!
Very good condition, the case is elegant - sort of a faceted form to it that captures light and one's attention. The watch is sold alone, but shown in a group image with other items we have available. Measurements and goldsmith marks shown on photos. Again, it is stem wind and apparently overwound. No other issues.
