Fabulous antique French Napoleon III or Victorian to early Edwardian era hand carved solid wood 18.5" wide figural corner, wall, clock or 'bracket' shelf with wonderful visual & decorative appeal featuring a portly hooded priest or monk like bust and in wonderful condition! A large, impressively carved piece! Meant to be mounted in the corner so, for all of you with your walls completely full...time to start working on the corners :). Very good to excellent condition. Possibly a tiny nip or two but I see no larger chips, no cracks or warping and no repairs. I'm not certain of the wood but it's solid and heavy, perhaps maple? Lovely! See pictures for all measurements.
