From my special collections of decades of buying in France, this set of 4 panels are each salvages from a 17th century very fine wool and silk yarn tapestry. The largest panel has a colorful exotic bird, the other 3 are figural and fruit. Full measurements of each of the 4 panels are noted on our photos, so you can plan out the sections to make up into fabulous opulently trimmed sofa or decorator throw pillows. The largest panel would be wonderful framed, actually. There are cutaways on each panel, but I didn't want to cut them down to rectangles since I hadn't yet decided on pillow pairs to make up. It seems obvious to me now, I am not going to do the sewing to make these up, and will leave that to you. Notice the extra fine yarns and weaving - superb colors which show no fading (see the photos that include the backside, which shows the same brilliant coloration you see on the fronts. These are each large, and even trimmed to eliminate the rough edges, they will be stunning. See measurements!
Very good condition for age and type, even with the rough edges, since the bulk of each panel is tightly intact and shows no bug or moth damage. There are no unpleasant odors, and the panels are clean and brilliantly preserved in colors that have not faded by sunlight. Found in France, of course.
