Someone's grandfather and grandmother, the pair of paintings done c. 1895-1915, from the fashions and jewelry. Watercolor paintings on heavy card are framed under glass and with a French door bronze or possibly gold faced frame which is encased in fitted travel and display cases with easel back. The cases are leather-clad, fine silk interiors, and show the paintings well. Full measurements noted on our photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, I found the pair in France but I'm unsure of origin. They have a feel of American portraits. Very nicely done, there is no signature visible. I have not taken them out of frames, perhaps ID or more info behind them. I'll leave it to their next collector/owner to open them further.
