Minton porcelains made for turn of the century (1900) marketing through Tiffany & Co., NYC. The Belle Epoch brought much opulence to the table, raised and encrusted gold enamels, delicate porcelains, opulent monograms. This is one such set: 6 2-handled cups, typically then called a bouillon cup set, they're often used for tea, as well, or coffee, and they're elegant for dessert service - a chocolate mousse comes to mind. The 6 matching saucers, each 5 1/2" in diameter, are all original to the set, and all are in beautiful condition. As you can see from photos toward the end, my favorite table settings are mix-match of the elegant Belle Epoch sets, French or English. This set of 12 pieces will dress up or down with beautiful results and compliments.
Very good to excellent condition, not a chip, nip, hairline or restoration to the lot. One plate has a slight darkened spot, shown in the photos, but it still goes to table just fine and to all compliments. A beautiful set!
