Made in France, the Haviland plate set was originally made to be marketed through Bailey Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia, PA, USA, the oldest luxury purveyors of jewelry and high end housewares in the USA. A stunning pattern, the set of 12 plates has a heavy gold rim and will layer beautifully on your raised gold enamel French plates, or show beautifully in cabinet. Likely c.1900-1920s, Belle Epoch when all things gold were at height of popularity. Full measurements noted on photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Full set of 12, I find no chips, hairlines or cracks on any, and do not find utensil marks. Brilliant gold used in very appealing decorative border. Salad plates, dessert plates, suitable for luncheon plates.
