BIG and beautiful, loom woven tapestry panel (vintage rather than antique) reminiscent of the antique Aubusson panels we all love. This entire decorator pillow is, I think, vintage, around 40 years of age or less. The backing is velvet and it has a zipper closure so it will be simple to remove the cover should you wish to have it dry cleaned (the velvet backing could use a cleaning, though there are no stains nor odors). The colors on this one are just fabulous! I've set it with some of my own pillows at home to show how pretty it truly is grouped with needlepoints of 19th century to fine antique 17th century tapestry pillows. It's got a clean and large fluffy down and feather pillow form inside, and it creases and poofs beautifully. I do not know the country of origin. I found it (and others) in the USA.
Very good condition throughout, vintage and not new. Pillow front is gorgeous, and back is nice though it might want a dry cleaning (unzip, take out pillow form, dry clean) - not because of any odor, but because there is a little dusty residue here or there (mostly a corner). I'm sure the yarns are all wool. I think the velvet is likely cotton rather than silk. Nicely made. The ball tassel trim is very pretty as a compliment - one or two just need a thread to anchor them back into ball form.
