Here we have a beautifully hand carved PAIR of antique Victorian era wall or bracket shelves, each in solid old growth European oak, just in from France and both in wonderful condition!  Aren't these just remarkable!  Quite unique and definitely impressive with their unique pierced or reticulated style consisting of ornate scrolls, acanthus and rosette style accents.  Even more impressive win you think about the fact that those ornate pierced lower portions were each hand sculpted from two large, solid blocks of oak!  Amazing!  Perfect to flank a large piece of furniture, fireplace mantel perhaps and the shelf surfaces are quite expansive at 13 1/8" deep and 12 5/8" wide.  Magnificent visual & decorative appeal, don't miss them!

Very good to excellent condition.  I see one chipped scroll to a shelf, right side of the very bottom point.  There is a split in the shelf surface of one but I can't quite tell if it's a 'split' or just slight separation where two panels are joined.  Possibly a few small nips but, as you can see, both are in wonderfully preserved condition given their 100+ years.  See pictures for all measurements.
