Elegant vintage English sterling silver 5 1/4” diameter wine or champagne coaster with lobed shaped sides and marked “Paul de Lamerie, London”! Nothing overly frilly here, just smooth, sleek styling with the overly deep 3/4” sides and lobed shaping. Thick & heavy, it weighs 108 grams or 3.5 troy ounces and the inner base is roughly 4” wide so it’ll accommodate a larger bottle or could be used as a ‘vide poche’ for coins & keys, etc.. The base is marked “Sterling 6 Exemplar Paul De Lamerie London - 1712” so it is surely a later vintage reproduction of an earlier original.
Very good to excellent condition. Some faint surface scuffs and a bit of tarnish in the recessed areas but I see no dents, damage or repairs. See pictures for all measurements.
