Elegant vintage Italian hallmarked .800 (nearly sterling) silver tea or coffee strainer, turned ebony or ebonized wood handle with strainer bowl, ladle shape & footed base! Kind of a unique piece, we're assuming that it was meant as a tea or coffee strainer but the shaping and really more similar to a gravy boat. Three separate pieces, there's the straining bowl, ladle shaped piece and the wood handle screws in to hold all together (meaning they come apart for easy silver polishing). Both the strainer and base/ladle shaped piece bear Italian hallmarks that we think date from 1900 to 1940s or so. A lovely little serving piece, the use really up to you.
Very good to excellent condition. There is a bit of edge roughening to the ladle shaped base piece along the upper rim but I see no dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for weight and measurements.
